THE TORONTO TOY, DOLL & TRAIN COLLECTORS' SHOW
Sunday November 17, 2013

Once again we are looking forward to another great show on November 17, 2013. This year is anticipated even more as this will be our 40th year of producing the largest toy shows, our 20th year of train shows, and 35 years of auctions of great toys and trains and childhood memorabilia! We could not have done it without the support and enthusiasm of our dealers and collectors. Many of you have been with us from the start! Thanks to all of you. We look forward to many more great events ahead.

This year will bring about some important and exciting changes for our shows and auctions as we look forward to the next few years. The constantly increasing costs of producing these large events along with the uncertain economy and the changes to our dealer base has been a challenge to deal with over the last few years.

The train show will be integrated into the toy show this year and this will bring many new and exciting dealers and displays. This will offer a great show for the public. In addition many new dealers selling related items will add to the excitement. For the train show dealers and exhibitors there will be increased time to set up for the show. The large dealers will still have drive in access to their booths. The show will be a one day show which will make it easier for you to manage your booths. Many of you felt that the first day of previous shows was the time when you made most of your sales, while Sunday tended to be less productive. The costs of renting booths for the train dealers will be substantially reduced as there will not be the overhead of a two full days show.

The show will be held in Hall 3. This hall is much larger and has easier unloading capabilities. In addition our unloading times will change to Saturday afternoon from 2-6pm and Sunday morning from 8-9.30am. There will also be an early unloading time available to all dealers and exhibitors who have obtained 3 or more booths. They will be given a pass to start early unloading from 12 noon. This will enable us to deal with the larger vehicles and provide the necessary setup time for the major dealers and exhibitors. The show will be open to the public on Sunday from 10-4pm as usual.

The Toronto Toy Auction will see changes this year also. Our auctions which now are available live online through Proxibid have brought some great results. We have introduced the hobby to many new collectors, brought some great new collections to the market and have brought good results for our consignors. The auction this year will be held on Friday November 15, 2013 and will be moved to our new location at Hume's Auction Farm located at 9313 Esquesing Line, Milton, ON. The auction preview will be at 3.00pm and the sale starting at 5.00pm. We have used this location for our last major auction and found it be an exceptional location for an auction offering uncrowded space and comfortable seating for the buyers. A snack bar is also available.

Don't forget that if you have the opportunity to distribute the flyers for the show, contact us and we will send you the quantity you have requested. This is a great marketing opportunity for both the dealers and the show.

All these changes should be a great benefit to all our dealers, exhibitors, and the public. We will be able to hold the line on the booth costs. We can offer easy setup and continue to offer free space to the exhibitors to encourage involvement in the hobby. There will be an increase in the public attendance.

We look forward to many more years of seeing all our dealers and exhibitors and the excitement of a great show!
